Movie: "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs"

Join us for our third movie in our 2018 Summer Film Series as we get lost in the world of 鈥淐loudy with a Chance of Meatballs.鈥� Loosely based on the well-known children's book of the same name, the movie includes the voices of well-known actors such as Bill Hader, Anna Faris, and Bruce Campbell. This movie is rated PG and is 90 minutes long.
The town of Swallow Falls is in financial crisis, and the townspeople can only afford to eat sardines. Struggling inventor Flint Lockwood thinks he has a solution: a machine that converts water into food. After initial success, Flint鈥檚 fantastic invention goes awry and threatens to cover the entire world in mountains of food. Desperate not to be seen as a failure, Flint set鈥檚 out win the heart of the local weather girl and gain his father鈥檚 approval and save the world. Join us in seeing if Flint has bitten off more than he can chew.
Bring your blankets and lawn chairs as we enjoy this film under the stars. Games and free refreshments will begin at 7 p.m., and the movie will start just after sundown. You may bring your coolers, but please no pets or glass containers.
This summer鈥檚 movies are being shown in conjunction with the newest exhibit at the Bush Library and Museum, "Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion." The exhibit celebrates the life of Leonardo da Vinci, a well-known painter, sculptor, musician, architect, engineer and anatomist. The exhibit includes life-sized and fully operational machines based on Leonardo鈥檚 original designs. Visitors may touch and set them in motion, combining a fascinating hands-on experience with an exploration of the principles he employed to create each machine. 鈥淟eonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion鈥� will be on display through January 6, 2019. Don鈥檛 miss the opportunity to explore Leonardo da Vinci鈥檚 legacy up close.
