dcterms:description "LightWave Layered Object (LWLO) is a file format used by the software LightWave 3D to store a layered 3D object, which might be referenced in a LightWave Scene file. LightWave 3D is proprietary software and does not currently publish open specifications, though the 1995 version of the LWLO specification is available through other sources. LightWave originated with the company NewTek in 1990, was bought in 2019 by Vizrt and then bought again by LightWave Digital in 2023. Newer versions of LightWave 3D should have backward compatibility with files created by older versions of the software. LWLO is an IFF-based file format with an LWLO form type. It is differentiated from the LWOB file format by its ability to contain any number of PNTS (points), POLS (polygons), and CRVS (curves) chunks, with each one describing the contents of a single layer. These layers are described in a separate LAYR (layer) chunk.Without further testing, LightWave files should be retained as is." ;
