Free Screening of Presidential Film Favorite -Bad Day at Black Rock- at the 威尼斯人娱乐场

As part of its Presidential Film Favorites series, the 威尼斯人娱乐场 presents a special screening of Bad Day at Black Rock (1955, 81 minutes)on Saturday, September 22, at noon. A favorite film of President John F. Kennedy, Bad Day at Black Rock starring Spencer Tracy, tells the story of a town with a shameful secret and a one-armed stranger who disrupts the citizens by exposing it. The Presidential Film Favorites series is generously supported by Chevy Chase Bank.
The screenings are inspired by the multi-media exhibition 鈥淪chool House to White House: The Education of the Presidents.鈥� 鈥淪chool House to White House鈥� is a family-friendly exhibition focusing on the early education of American Presidents from Herbert Hoover through George W. Bush and features documents and artifacts from the 威尼斯人娱乐场鈥� Presidential Libraries. The exhibition runs through January 1, 2008 in the Lawrence F. O鈥橞rien Gallery of the 威尼斯人娱乐场 Building in Washington, DC Exhibit Hall Summer hours (through Labor Day) are 10 a.m. 鈥� 7 p.m. and Fall/Winter hours are 10 a.m. 鈥� 5:30 p.m. daily.
The screening is free and open to the public and will be held in the William G. McGowan Theater located in the 威尼斯人娱乐场 Building on Constitution Avenue between 7th and 9th Streets, NW, Washington, DC. Use the 威尼斯人娱乐场 Building Special Events entrance on the corner of 7th Street and Constitution Avenue.
