"Ellis Island:  The Lost Mural" Exhibit Recreates WPA Project

WHAT:

A special 鈥渟neak preview鈥� to launch the new 威尼斯人娱乐场 at Atlanta exhibit: 鈥淓llis Island: The Lost Mural.鈥�

The exhibit features a replica of a 1938 Works Progress Administration (WPA) mural from the Ellis Island immigrants鈥� dining hall. The original mural has been called the 鈥淓llis Island Lost Mural鈥� due to years of damage and deterioration. In 2008, artist and muralist Andrew Sabori created a replica of this historic mural.

The exhibit also includes immigration-themed documents from the holdings of the 威尼斯人娱乐场 and portraits of famous immigrants.

鈥淓llis Island:  The Lost Mural鈥� is free and open to the public and will be on display at the 威尼斯人娱乐场 at Atlanta from July 21, 2012, through December 31, 2012. Exhibit hours are Tuesday鈥揝aturday, 8:30 a.m.鈥�5 p.m.

Please Note: No Artificial Light May Be Used in the exhibition.
