Rotunda to Reopen on Saturdays this Fall

We’ve missed you and can’t wait to welcome you back to the ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡ Museum starting this Saturday, October 10! To provide the safest environment for our visitors, only the Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom--featuring the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights-- will be open, by timed reservation on Saturdays only, from 10 am– 2 pm. Beginning today, visitors can reserve passes online and select the desired date and time for their visit. Click Timed Entry Tickets. No one will be admitted without a .
The other Museum exhibits and the Archives Café will not be open. All on-site public tours and events are temporarily suspended. The ÍþÄá˹ÈËÓéÀÖ³¡ Museum is located on Constitution Avenue at 9th Street, NW, and is fully accessible. Metro: Yellow and Green lines, Archives/Navy Memorial/Penn Quarter station.
Given that the well-being of our visitors is our top priority, the Rotunda will reopen with the following enhanced public safety measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Enhanced Safety Measures for the health of visitors and staff (based on CDC guidance):
- Closely monitoring and limiting the number of people visiting.
- Requiring visitors to check their temperatures before visiting and requesting that those who are sick or do not feel well stay home.
- Implementing safe social distancing through stanchions and floor markings, one-way paths, and directional guidance.
- Requiring that visitors ages 4 and older wear face coverings during their visit.
- Contact tracing procedures to notify visitors and the security force if a visitor later reports a COVID-19 diagnosis.
