In His Very Best, award-winning historian Jonathan Alter tells the story of an enigmatic man of faith and his improbable journey from barefoot boy to global icon. Jonathan Alter is an award-winning author, political analyst, documentary filmmaker, columnist, television producer and radio host. He is the author of three New York Times bestsellers: The Center Holds: Obama and His Enemies, The Promise: President Obama, Year One鈥 and The Defining Moment: FDR鈥檚 Hundred Days and the Triumph of Hope. Since 1996, he has been a contributing correspondent and political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC. In 2019, he co-produced and co-directed the HBO documentary, 鈥淏reslin and Hamill: Deadline Artists,鈥 winning the 2020 Emmy for Best Historical Documentary.
Michael R. Beschloss is the author of nine books on presidential history, including, most recently, the New York Times bestsellers Presidential Courage and The Conquerors, as well as two volumes on Lyndon Johnson's White House tapes. He was also editor of the number-one global bestseller Jacqueline Kennedy: Historic Conversations on Life with John F. Kennedy.
